INTRODUCTION
Founded in 21st Century, We aim to bring back faith in mother nature. By using forefront textile technologies, thoughtful aesthetics,  sophisticated and innovative craftsmanship, as well as circular models, we combine aesthetic and technicality to create versatile outdoor adventure apparels that help disciples to embark on their return to nature. We strive to help neo-outdoors people appreciate the adventure, rawness, tranquility and spirituality that nature has to offer. We believe that access to an unaltered natural environment is a birth right to all living being, and with that we believe nature is not a daunting foreign realm that has to be conquered, but a familiar home that we can simply return to.
OUR STORY

Our founder Vis spent his adolescent years up in the Canadian pacific west coast. With less than 10 minute car ride proximity to the mountains and lush yet chilly forests. He experienced his first true encounter with nature when he was dropped off along with his schoolmates off at a tiny pier at Indian Arms in North Vancouver. What followed was 3 days of solo kayaking up the channel and a near death case of hypothermia, but it was only the first of countless outdoor sagas he would later tell. What followed was skydiving with a twisted wrist, dirt biking across the biggest desert in Asia, scuba diving with shark encounters, road trips with unreliable manuals cars across more than 60 countries, solo riding a rickshaw vertically across Sri Lanka. 

However, Vis was a outdoorsman by core, not a sportsman. He craved the exploration of the unknown, the interaction with the foreign culture, the quietness of the breeze and praying to the deities. He wasn’t keen on breaking world records, PB times, or proving himself through hardship. He just liked to be out there. 

At the same time, he needed proper outdoor gears to accompany him, especially to the variety of environments he was in. From 4000 meter in the mountains, to the temples, then to the resort chalet. After perhaps purchased all hero products from all major outdoor brands, Vis, educated as an contemporary  artist, felt most, if not all, outdoor apparels on the market was only focusing on performance and functionality, but lacked both aesthetic in the products and spirituality in the brandings, which Vis felt both can be found in the very surroundings these products are made to be in. He aimed to built a brand that provides

Finally, at a solo snowboarding trip in Niigata in 2021, while trapped in waist deep snow on a closed road, UPPERVOID was born.

CORE IDENTITY

UNCONVENTIONAL

Building something different is the first step in building something better. We start with blank slates and experiment in methods that’s betrays industry standards. Using unconventional methods we build unconventional products that innovates. We believe that being unconventional is the novel and better way to navigate this homogenous world, to do what others not dare to do. We build gears that none are familiar but also right. We also  approach to outdoor itself unconventionally, we don’t believe in hardships, hierarchy, or proving one's self, we preach belief in the spirit of Earth. 

RAW

Equipment and gears should never be the restriction of the wearer, as they should only be the aid on the path to the destination. We build reliable products with functions that help us customer reach the rawest, dirtiest and wildest places on Earth without ever having to worry. We hope to see of our gears up with mud, dirt, scratches and memories. We present the rawest form of the outdoor, whether it's the joy, danger or calmness, without bias.

SPIRITUAL

Our ability to maneuver our mortal flesh to the needs of our will, and break free of the physical constraints set by the universe is what makes us human. However, just like any man/woman needs a safe haven, or any adult who still seeks his/her parents. The connection with nature deeply rooted in us often call us home. Spirituality is what we use to embody this rooted connection between Mother Nature and us.

CURIOSITY

Our ability to maneuver our mortal flesh to the needs of our will, and break free of the physical constraints set by the universe is what makes us human. However, just like any man/woman needs a safe haven, or any adult who still seeks his/her parents. The connection with nature deeply rooted in us often call us home. Spirituality is what we use to embody this rooted connection between Mother Nature and us.

The most memorable part of an adventure is always that one wrong turn off the path, where what awaits will amaze. Mistakes and accidents often are the driving force behind our adaptability and the reason we break free from mediocracy.
